3. Editorial Independence and Leadership
The editorial board, led by Muhammad Sajo, PhD (English) and Abdullahi Yunusa, PhD (Hausa), operates with full editorial independence. The Secretary, Yusuf Ladan Sanyinna, PhD, ensures coordination between both versions. Editorial decisions are based on:

Relevance to developmental and regional progress.

Adherence to the ethical standards of journalism.
4. Content Scope and Focus
Our coverage prioritizes the following thematic areas:

Security and Peacebuilding: Providing constructive coverage of security initiatives and community safety without sensationalism.
-
Culture and Faith: Respectful and insightful documentation of regional traditions, religious events (such as Ramadan and Eid), and heritage.
-
Social Development: Highlighting initiatives in education, health, and economic empowerment.
5. Accuracy and Verification
All contributors must verify facts through multiple primary sources. For technical or academic features, the PhD-led editorial board performs a rigorous review to ensure that the information provided is both authoritative and reliable. Corrections for any factual errors will be published prominently in the subsequent edition.
6. Ethical Standards and Fairness
-
Objectivity: We strive to present multiple perspectives on contentious issues, particularly regarding political and social transitions.
-
Privacy: Respect for the privacy of individuals is paramount, except where it conflicts with the public’s right to know regarding matters of governance.
-
Anti-Discrimination: We do not publish content that incites hatred, promotes discrimination based on ethnicity or religion, or undermines public peace.
7. Conflict of Interest
Editors and contributors must disclose any personal, financial, or political interests that could be perceived as influencing their reporting. The magazine maintains a clear distinction between editorial content and sponsored advertisements or “Special Supplements.”
8. Public Engagement
In line with our motto, we encourage community participation. Letters to the editor and opinion pieces from the public are welcome, provided they meet our standards for civil discourse and factual grounding.
